Kiwi Life privacy policy
This policy covers the Kiwi Life iPhone app, published by MyCEO (myceo.co.nz), a New Zealand business. It is written under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Where your reminders are kept
Your reminders, checklists and settings are stored only on your iPhone. We cannot see, read, recover or delete them. If iCloud Backup or a computer backup is turned on, iOS may include them in your own iPhone backup, which Apple handles under your Apple account or which sits on your computer.
Your first name
If you add your first name, it stays on your iPhone and is used only to greet you in the app.
Notifications
Reminder notifications are scheduled on your iPhone itself. No push server is used, so nothing about your reminders is sent anywhere to deliver them.
Links and map searches
Some reminders offer a link to an official page or a map search. When you tap one, the page opens in a Safari window inside the app, and a map search opens a Google Maps web page. Those sites receive your visit under their own privacy policies, as they would if you opened them in Safari yourself. Kiwi Life does not send them anything else and does not see what you do there.
Erasing your data
Settings has an Erase everything option that deletes all reminders and settings from your iPhone. If you delete the app, iOS deletes its data from that phone.
Children
Kiwi Life collects no data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us whether we hold personal information about you, and ask to see or correct it. Because the app sends nothing to us, the only information we could hold is what you choose to send us in an email.
If you are not happy with how we handle a privacy question, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
If you write to us
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write, and we use it only to reply.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes what it does with information, we will update this page and the date at the top before that version of the app is released.
